Mihai Toma
Director of the Healthcare Performance Labs
Mihai Toma is the Head of Professional Practice MENA at The KPI Institute, the global authority on Key Performance Indicators research and education. His research activity in the Performance Management field has resulted in the documentation and revision of over 1000 Key Performance Indicators. Some of Mihai’s most significant research programs have resulted in the development of several publications such as:

- Top 25 KPIs in 2011- 2012 Report Series
Mihai has been actively involved in the implementation and design of KPI operational dashboards and functional performance scorecards, assisting in the development of the performance management system architecture for The KPI Institute’s clients from various industries and functional areas.
As a facilitator, Mihai has developed and delivered training courses on selecting and documenting KPIs, managing individual performance. As a Certified KPI Practitioner, Mihai has advised and worked with a variety of international clients from industries such as petrochemicals, utilities, healthcare, construction materials production, pension funds, food production and professional services, such as:

Andrea Minelli

Andrea Minelli is a Business Research Analyst at The KPI Institute, a research institute specialized in business performance and global authority on Key Performance Indicators research and education. Andrea is a Certified Benchmarking Professional and Certified KPI Professional and his research activity in the Performance Management field has resulted in the documentation of + 500 Key Performance Indicators.
Some of Andrea’s most significant research activities have resulted in the development of “The Utilities Performance Benchmarking Report Series 2017”. Besides documenting and reviewing KPIs, his research activity in the Performance Management and Organizational Development fields is completed by writing articles based on research for the Performance Magazine, The KPI Institute’s online magazine dedicated to strategy and performance.
As a research analyst, has been actively involved in the development of the following publications:

Recently, Andrea has been actively involved in the development of The KPI Institute’s Healthcare Performance Labs. His contribution pertains to the development of the training course materials as well as the materials and research data for future advisory services.
As an educator, Andrea, has developed and delivered Italian and English tutoring programs, based on clients’ request, on specialized language fields (e.g. negotiation, business, travel).
Andrea’s academic qualifications are in the field of Economics and he has a Bachelor Degree in Business Management from LUISS Guido Carli University in Italy, and a Master degree in Economics and Management from Old Dominion University in the USA.
Dr. Samer Ellahham

Dr. Ellahham is a recognized leader in quality, safety, patient experience, risk management and the use of robust performance improvement in improving healthcare delivery.He has led the development of a quality and safety program that has been highly successful and visible and has been recognized internationally by a number of awards.He serves on several US and International committees and advisory bodies. He is the Regional Network Chair, Middle East, Patient Safety Movement.
Dr. Ellahham is Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) by The National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ).He is certified in Medical Quality (CMQ) by The American Board of Medical Quality (ABMQ).He is the recipient of the Quality Leadership Award from the World Quality Congress and Awards and the Business Leadership Excellence Award from World Leadership Congress in 2015.He is one the nominees for Safe Care Magazine Person of the Year in the United States. He is recognized worldwide for Excellence in infection prevention and control.
Dr. Ellahham is Middle East Representative of the JCI Standards Subcommittee and Member on the Ex-Member on the Editorial Advisory Board of the Joint Commission Journal on Quality and Patient Safety.He is the editor of key medical journals.
Dr. Ellahham is Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belted. He is one of the most published in this area in the Middle East. He is Lead Trainer in TeamSTEPPS.
